We’re off to Connecticut and Vermont in order to attend my cousin Meagan’s wedding at a mountain resort in Vermont. It should make for a grand time especially since its been nearly three years since we’ve seen the family back east.

We’re off to Carlsbad once again but this time we’re “sniffing in” on the 2016 Kia Classic Golf Tournament (www.kiaclassic.com) at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort.
This photo shows the Maderas Golf Club in Poway, CA since taking photographs at golf tournaments isn’t allowed. Additionally you surely can’t post any photos on your blog site if your fat finger accidentally made contact with your camera phone during the tourney. Well, at least I will comply with 50% of their policy. 😉
Bella and I are making our way to the desert again to fire up some holiday cheer. An odd choice to some but for golfers and chowhounds there is a lot to offer here. We dropped by the Cabazon Outlets for some Auntie Em’s cheddar pretzel bites and cinnamon sugar pretzel bites (for the record, go for the cheddar ones) and to window shop. Unfortunately, it began to rain, the wind started blowing strongly and we found ourselves in a borderline torrential downpour.
Blackberry Custard French Toast
At Wilma and Frieda’s Cafe (wilmafrieda.com) we had this french toast with creamy custard, delicious berries and a light dusting of powdered sugar. Remarkable!
Bella’s career is quite demanding and can be very draining so she looks forward to her rare mini-vacations over the course of the year. Nearly every year we spend a night in Redondo Beach and dine on seafood until her Taiwanese belly is satiated.
