For my next foray into smoking I chose to “try” beef back ribs. You will typically find that you are unable to find these fresh and will have to settle for frozen. I would suggest heading to a neighborhood butcher shop as you will likely find what you are looking for and at a better quality than your average grocery store. Continue reading

Here are some pictures of some baby back ribs I cooked in my new smoker. I used an under $100 upright capsule style Brinkmann smoker. I am a complete amateur so I visited various sites (doubledanger.com, fabulousfoods.com, smoker-cooking.com, the-greatest-barbecue-recipes.com) to learn how to smoke meats and then put it to the test on smoking some salmon.
