INGREDIENTS

8 ounces Vanilla Unsweetened Almond Milk (Kirkland Organic Unsweetened Almond Non-Dairy Beverage Vanilla) or Trader Joe’s Non-Dairy Almond Beverage Vanilla Unsweetened

2 ounces of whole milk

¾ scoop of whey vanilla protein powder (natural sugar sweetener)

3-4 TBSP Almond Butter (Kirkland Creamy Almond Butter)

1 ½ tsp of maple extract

1/3 cup (heaping) of Steel Cut or Rolled Oats

1/3 cup (heaping) of Oat Bran

2 TBSP of Black Organic Chia Seeds (Nutiva brand from Costco)

1/3 cup of chopped walnut baking pieces (Trader Joe’s)

1 Medium-sized Banana (fresh or frozen): optional

2 TBSP Canadian Maple Syrup (Kirkland Organic Canadian Maple Syrup)

3 large ice cubes

Combine all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth

This is a great option for breakfast or lunch or dinner as a meal replacement.  The combination of oats and oat bran are helpful in lowering cholesterol and it is very filling.
