The game in question transpired just before the Los Angeles/Anaheim Angel’s baseball team “jumped the shark” (due to various reasons) sending their season into the carper faster than a Winnebago down Lombard Street in San Francisco. This game features our Anaheim Angel’s versus the Baltimore Orioles.
Bella, Cindy, their friend and I had purchased tickets in advance. I was on the phone with my childhood friend JB the day before the game and discovered that he and his pops (visiting from Ohio) were going to the game as well. Very cool indeed…
It’s a little sad that Angel Stadium has better BBQ than most of Orange County.
I’ve probably eaten BBQ from The Smoke Ring vendor about six times. The texture of this sandie can vary as sometimes it tastes a bit leaner and sometimes it is more fatty, very tender and juicy. Since it is BBQ, I’d opt for the fattier version every single time.
It should be outlawed for someone to NOT put the slaw on top of the sandie. It adds creaminess and a crunchy texture which is undeniably good.
Little chunks of corn and firm edges with almost a touch of crispness to the exterior. This is very nice tasting cornbread.
“Good times”…
The weather is nice and has cooled down pretty nicely by game time.
The game was tight early with some back and forth scoring.
Not to be cornfused with blue…
Thankfully it wasn’t a filthy knuckler.
A beautiful night for a ball game.
Tonight we receive the Garrett Richards (pitcher) bobblehead upon entering the park. It is Mike Trout’s birthday today and he went “yard” (homered) tonight.
There is a lot of drinking going on out beyond the outfield wall. As a result, some Angel fan finagles her way into the photo.
All in good fun…
We’re all enjoying the Angel’s 8-4 win over the Oriole’s. The Angel’s had 13 hits to the Oriole’s 12. We’ve rarely see hitting like this at the many other Angel’s games we’ve attended.
After the victory the monkey could not contain himself.
The sisters enjoying the win…
THE END!!!

I always forget that, in many respects, going to a baseball game is a gastronomic experience. As always, your blog post made me HUNGRY. Good game, good food, good pics, good overview.
